
Cynox enables you to automatically and accurately register camping guests’ energy consumption, by connecting the power socket for each campsite to reservations in Booking Experts. Owners of motorhomes, caravans and yachts are using more and more energy-intensive devices (air conditioners, underfloor heating and automatic coffee machines) and are also demanding higher comfort standards at camping and marina facilities. With Cynox, you can turn on the power socket for the correct site of each reservation upon check-in, and turn it off again upon check-out. The associated meter readings for energy consumption are also recorded, so charging power fees becomes quick and easy. All from the comfort of your desk!
Cynox IoT for campsites and cabins
To make use of this integration, the Cynox IoT box is needed. This is the part that connects your sockets to your reservation system. Matching Sockets
When first installing this system, the Cynox Sockets need to be matched to specific accommodations, or objects. This will ensure the proper assignment of power usage to all future reservations. It will remain possible for you to manually switch the sockets or overwrite the associated meter readings if necessary.

Existing systems can often easily be retrofitted, and support of sites with more than 1000 accommodations is possible. It is a cost-effective solution, with quick amortisation. The load limit for each socket is freely adjustable, and you’ll be able to charge for actual electricity usage rather than a flat rate. On the whole, it will reduce wasteful use of energy.
