Virtual credit cards for payment security
Combined with BEX Payments, the Expedia app allows the use of virtual credit cards.
This offers more payment security for both the guest and you as an accommodation provider. When a guest books your accommodation through Expedia and pays online, Expedia creates a virtual credit card for the exact amount of the reservation. The details of this virtual credit card are shared with you to claim the amount owed on the reservation. This way, the two transactions are securely separated. The guest’s payment details remain restricted between the guest and Expedia, while the virtual credit card guarantees payment to the accommodation provider. Virtual credit cards are processed the same as a regular credit card.
